We are currently seeking a highly skilled Nurse Practitioner/Physician Assistant to join our team in the Cardiology department. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering exceptional care to our patients with heart conditions.   1. Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients with heart conditions.
  2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients.
  3. Perform diagnostic procedures and interpret test results to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
  4. Prescribe medications and other treatments as needed, in accordance with state regulations and organizational protocols.
  5. Educate patients and their families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and medication management.
  6. Monitor and manage patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  7. Document all patient interactions and maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to ensure a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
  9. Participate in departmental meetings and continuing education to stay current on best practices and advancements in cardiology.
  10. Provide support and guidance to nursing staff and other team members, as needed.
  11. Collaborate with insurance companies and other healthcare organizations to coordinate patient care and ensure timely and appropriate treatment.
  12. Adhere to organizational policies and procedures, including but not limited to confidentiality, patient rights, and ethical standards.
  13. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor at all times, promoting a positive and welcoming environment for patients and colleagues.
  14. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed and resolved.
  15. Continuously evaluate and improve processes to enhance patient care and operational efficiency.

Job Qualifications
  • Master's Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies: This Advanced Degree Is A Requirement For Both Nurse Practitioners (Nps) And Physician Assistants (Pas) In Order To Practice In A Cardiology Setting.

  • Certification In Cardiology: Candidates Should Hold A Certification In Their Respective Field Of Practice, Such As Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (Ag-Acnp) Or Physician Assistant Certified (Pa-C) With A Specialization In Cardiology.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In Cardiology: Mercyone Is Seeking Candidates With A Strong Background In Cardiology, Preferably With At Least 2 Years Of Clinical Experience In A Cardiology Setting.

  • Familiarity With Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems: As A Leading Healthcare Provider, Mercyone Utilizes Emrs To Manage Patient Information. Candidates Should Have Prior Experience And Comfort Working With Emrs.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: Working In A Cardiology Setting Requires Close Collaboration With Other Healthcare Professionals, Including Physicians, Nurses, And Other Support Staff. Candidates Should Possess Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Effectively In A Team Environment.
