Mental Health Technician

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses. Responsibilities: • Provide direct patient care under the supervision of registered nurses • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, staff, and visitors • Administer and monitor medications and treatments • Observe and assess patient behavior • Provide emotional support and guidance to patients • Document and report patient behavior and progress • Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress • Assist with patient hygiene, meals, and activities • Maintain patient records and ensure confidentiality • Adhere to HIPAA guidelines and other regulations • Assist with daily operations of the mental health unit • Respond quickly and calmly to emergencies • Assist in creating a safe and comfortable environment for patients • Follow all safety policies and procedures • Other duties as assigned
