Emergency Room Technician

The Emergency Room Technician role is an integral part of our healthcare team, providing patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. The successful candidate will be responsible for obtaining patient vital signs, preparing patients for examination, assisting with medical procedures and treatments, and providing support to the medical staff.Qualifications:• High school diploma or equivalent• Current certification in basic life support (BLS)• Understanding of medical terminology• Experience in a healthcare setting• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills• Compassionate and caring demeanor

Responsibilities:

1. Obtain patient vital signs, such as blood pressure, temperature, and pulse rate, and update patient records accordingly.
2. Prepare patients for examinations and treatments, including setting up equipment and supplies.
3. Assist medical staff with medical procedures and treatments.
4. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
5. Monitor patient conditions and report any changes to the medical staff.
6. Ensure a safe and clean environment is maintained in the emergency room.
7. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols in the emergency room.
9. Maintain accurate documentation and records of patient care.
10. Perform other tasks as assigned by the medical staff.
