- Analyze market trends, benchmarking data, and conduct internal surveys to ensure competitive compensation packages.
- Stay up-to-date on regulations and changes in physician compensation models to ensure compliance.
- Work closely with human resources to develop and maintain compensation policies and procedures.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of existing compensation plans and make recommendations for improvements.
- Communicate with physicians and other employees to address any questions or concerns about compensation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external organizations and consultants to gather market data and insights.
- Provide guidance and support to department managers and leaders on compensation decisions and practices.
- Prepare and present reports on physician compensation to senior leadership and the board of directors.
- Ensure that all compensation decisions are fair, consistent, and aligned with the organization's goals and values.
- Handle any issues or conflicts related to physician compensation in a timely and professional manner.
- Lead training and development programs for managers and leaders on compensation practices and policies.
- Collaborate with finance and accounting departments to ensure accurate and timely processing of compensation-related expenses.
- Continuously evaluate and improve the organization's overall compensation strategy to support the recruitment and retention of high-quality physicians.
Medical Or Healthcare Industry Experience: A Director Of Physician Compensation At Mercyone Should Have Extensive Experience In The Medical Or Healthcare Industry, Preferably In A Leadership Role. This Would Ensure A Thorough Understanding Of The Complexities Of Physician Compensation And The Unique Challenges Faced In This Industry.

This Knowledge Is Crucial In Designing And Implementing Effective Compensation Strategies For Physicians.
