- Provide direct patient care services under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse.
- Assist with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding patients.
- Take and record vital signs, including blood pressure, temperature, and pulse.
- Monitor and report any changes in patients' health status to the nursing team.
- Assist in the transfer and transportation of patients.
- Maintain a clean and safe patient environment.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Administer medications as directed and document in patient records.
- Assist with diagnostic tests and procedures.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Attend and participate in training and educational programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards in nursing practice.

Active Cna Certification: Applicants For A Cna Position In The Progressive Care Unit At Mercyone Must Possess A Current And Valid Cna Certification. This Ensures That Candidates Have Received Proper Training And Are Qualified To Provide Care To Patients In A Medical Setting.
Previous Experience In A Progressive Care Unit: Mercyone Seeks Individuals With Previous Experience Working In A Progressive Care Unit, Preferably In A Hospital Setting. This Experience Demonstrates A Candidate's Familiarity With The Specific Needs And Challenges Of Patients In This Unit.
Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Healthcare Team, Cnas In The Progressive Care Unit Must Have Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Nurses, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals To Provide High-Quality Care To Patients.
Knowledge Of Electronic Medical Records (Emr) Systems: Mercyone Utilizes Electronic Medical Record Systems To Manage Patient Information And Healthcare Documentation. Candidates For A Cna Position In The Progressive Care Unit Must Have Proficiency In Using These Systems To Accurately Record And Access Patient Information.
Understanding Of Basic Medical Terminology And Procedures: A Solid Understanding Of Basic Medical Terminology And Procedures Is Essential For Cnas Working In The Progressive Care Unit. This Includes Knowledge Of Common Medications, Lab Tests, And Vital Signs, As Well As Procedures Such As Wound Care And Catheterization.
