Child Life Specialist

The ideal candidate for this position will have a passion for helping children in a healthcare setting, be an excellent communicator, and have strong organizational skills. We are looking for someone who is reliable, compassionate, and able to provide emotional support to our patients and families.To be successful in this role, you must hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Child Life, Child Development, or a related field. Additionally, you must have experience working with children in a healthcare setting, possess a valid Child Life certification, and be knowledgeable of current pediatric healthcare trends. Responsibilities:

•Provide emotional support to pediatric patients and their families •Develop individualized plans to support and comfort children during medical visits and procedures •Develop and facilitate age-appropriate activities to help support the emotional needs of pediatric patients •Assist in developing and delivering education and support programs for families •Assess the psychosocial needs of pediatric patients and their families •Collaborate with medical and healthcare staff to ensure the best possible care for pediatric patients •Maintain records of patient interactions and provide reports as needed •Maintain current knowledge of pediatric healthcare trends and best practices •Participate in research, program development, and quality improvement initiatives as needed
