- Develop and implement functional safety processes and systems for Mercedes-Benz vehicles.
- Oversee the reliability and safety of all vehicles through thorough risk assessments and safety analyses.

- Lead and manage a team of engineers to ensure functional safety goals are met.

- Provide technical expertise and support to other departments, including engineering, manufacturing, and quality control.
- Stay informed on advancements in automotive safety technology and make recommendations for implementation.
- Develop and maintain relationships with regulatory agencies and industry partners to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Train and educate team members on functional safety processes and systems.
- Represent the company in industry conferences and events related to functional safety.
Extensive Knowledge Of Safety Standards And Regulations: A Fusa Manager At Mercedes-Benz Group Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Safety Standards And Regulations, Including Iso 26262 And Relevant Automotive Safety Laws.
Experience In Automotive Safety: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Strong Background In Automotive Safety, Including Experience In Developing Safety Strategies, Conducting Safety Assessments, And Implementing Safety Measures.
Strong Project Management Skills: As A Fusa Manager, One Must Be Able To Manage Complex Projects And Ensure That Safety Considerations Are Integrated Into All Stages Of The Product Development Process. This Requires Excellent Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Manage Timelines, And Coordinate With Cross-Functional Teams.
Technical Expertise: A Fusa Manager Should Have A Strong Technical Background, With Knowledge Of Automotive Systems And Components, As Well As Safety-Related Technologies Such As Functional Safety Analysis, Hazard Analysis, And Fault Tolerance.
