- Assist surgical team in preparing operating rooms and equipment for surgical procedures
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments and equipment
- Prepare and position patients for surgery
- Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
- Hand instruments and supplies to surgeon during procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of surgical procedures
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure efficient and effective surgical outcomes
- Stay up-to-date on surgical technology advancements and techniques
- Provide support and assistance to other members of the surgical team as needed
- Maintain a positive and professional attitude while working in a fast-paced and high-stress environment
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing them with updates and addressing any concerns they may have
- Comply with all hospital policies and procedures, as well as regulatory and accrediting agency standards
- Attend and participate in departmental meetings and trainings as required.
Completion Of A Surgical Technologist Program Or Equivalent Education And Training.
Certified Surgical Technologist (Cst) Credential From The National Board Of Surgical Technology And Surgical Assisting (Nbstsa).
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working As A Surgical Technologist In A Hospital Or Surgical Center Setting.
Knowledge And Proficiency In A Wide Range Of Surgical Procedures, Including Both General And Specialized Surgeries.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment.
