Supervisor, Laboratory Medicine - Microbiology

We are currently searching for an outstanding Supervisor, Laboratory Medicine - Microbiology to join the team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK). This position will be responsible for providing laboratory leadership and expertise, as well as overseeing the day-to-day operations of the MSK Microbiology Laboratory. The successful candidate will be an experienced and knowledgeable medical professional who is passionate about providing high-quality laboratory services and patient care.The ideal candidate is a skilled and experienced professional with a Bachelor’s degree in Medical Technology, Microbiology, or a related field. They will have at least five years of experience in a hospital laboratory setting, including experience supervising and managing personnel. The successful candidate must also possess excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills, as well as demonstrate a commitment to quality assurance measures. Previous experience in an academic/teaching environment is preferred.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide laboratory leadership and expertise to MSK Microbiology Laboratory
2. Oversee day-to-day operations of the laboratory
3. Ensure high-quality laboratory services and patient care
4. Supervise and manage personnel
5. Maintain excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
6. Ensure compliance with quality assurance measures
7. Develop and maintain an academic/teaching environment when appropriate
