
Staff Physical Therapist
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is looking for an outstanding Staff Physical Therapist to join our world-class team. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about providing physical therapy services to improve the lives of patients and families affected by cancer. The ideal candidate will have a combination of excellent technical and interpersonal skills. This role requires a combination of critical thinking, problem solving, and excellent communication skills. As a Staff Physical Therapist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the lives of our patients, families, and staff.The successful candidate must possess a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or equivalent degree, as well as a valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of New York. In addition, the ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in an outpatient setting, as well as experience working with pediatric patients. The Staff Physical Therapist will also be familiar with the principles of evidence-based practice and have a commitment to providing quality patient care.
Responsibilities for this job include:
- Provide physical therapy services to improve the lives of patients and families affected by cancer.
- Utilize critical thinking and problem solving skills to develop individualized physical therapy treatment plans to meet the needs of patients.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other staff members to ensure quality care.
- Maintain a valid license to practice physical therapy in the state of New York.
- Maintain two years of experience in an outpatient setting, as well as experience working with pediatric patients.
- Implement evidence-based practice to ensure quality patient care.
- Document patient progress and update treatment plans as needed.
- Follow all policies and procedures established by Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
Ability To Work Independently And Prioritize Tasks
Current Physical Therapist Licensure In New York State
Master’s Degree In Physical Therapy
At Least Two Years Of Clinical Experience In An Inpatient Or Outpatient Setting
Knowledge Of Current Physical Therapy Practice
Demonstrated Ability To Work Collaboratively In A Multidisciplinary Team
