
Senior Computational Biologist
We are seeking a Senior Computational Biologist to join the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSK) team. This individual will play a key role in developing and applying cutting-edge computational methods to analyze and interpret complex cancer genomics data. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with research scientists, clinicians, and computational biologists to further our mission of improving outcomes for cancer patients. This position will require a strong background in bioinformatics, statistics, and computer science. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of cancer genomics and the ability to analyze large datasets, develop novel algorithms and software tools, and design experiments. Additionally, the candidate should possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be highly organized, and be able to work independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and apply cutting-edge computational methods to analyze and interpret complex cancer genomics data.
- Collaborate with research scientists, clinicians, and computational biologists to further MSK's mission.
- Analyze large datasets, develop novel algorithms and software tools, and design experiments.
- Maintain and update existing bioinformatic pipelines.
- Prepare and present data to internal and external audiences.
- Stay abreast of current technology and industry trends.
- Provide technical mentorship to junior team members.
- Participate in research and development projects as necessary.
