
Senior Computational Biologist
Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Computational Biologist to join our world-class research team. The ideal candidate will have an advanced degree in a quantitative field such as bioinformatics, computer science, or a related area and a track record of success in developing and implementing novel computational approaches to address research questions in the field of cancer biology. As a Senior Computational Biologist, you will collaborate with a diverse and highly accomplished team of scientists to advance our understanding of cancer biology and develop new tools to improve diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer. Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement novel computational approaches to address research questions in the field of cancer biology.
- Develop new tools to improve diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of cancer.
- Collaborate with a diverse and highly accomplished team of scientists.
- Monitor and evaluate data from various sources to identify trends or patterns related to cancer biology.
- Communicate research findings to stakeholders and colleagues.
- Develop and maintain a working knowledge of scientific literature in the field of cancer biology.
- Stay abreast of new technologies and advances in the field of computational biology.
- Implement secure process for handling and sharing data.
- Create detailed reports and documents related to research findings.
- Participate in grant writing and other fundraising activities.
