  1. Lead and oversee the operation and management of the clinical NGS facility at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.
  2. Develop and implement innovative NGS strategies for cancer diagnosis, treatment, and monitoring in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team of scientists, clinicians, and researchers.
  3. Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in NGS technology and their potential applications in clinical practice.
  4. Ensure the accuracy, reliability, and quality of NGS data generated by the facility.
  5. Manage and mentor a team of scientists and technicians, providing guidance and support for their professional development.
  6. Develop and maintain collaborations with external partners and vendors for the acquisition of NGS technologies and resources.
  7. Oversee the development and implementation of standard operating procedures and protocols for NGS workflow in the facility.
  8. Maintain a safe and compliant working environment in the facility, adhering to all regulatory requirements and guidelines.
  9. Analyze and interpret NGS data, and communicate findings to the team and other stakeholders.
  10. Collaborate with other departments and teams within the institution to facilitate the integration of NGS into clinical care.
  11. Participate in grant writing and fundraising activities to secure funding for NGS projects.
  12. Represent the institution at national and international conferences and meetings to showcase the institution's NGS capabilities and research.
  13. Continuously evaluate and improve the NGS facility's processes and workflows to increase efficiency and productivity.
  14. Serve as a subject matter expert on NGS for internal and external stakeholders, including patients, families, and the general public.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In A Scientific Field: A Scientific Director Of Clinical Ngs At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Should Possess An Advanced Degree (Phd Or Md) In A Scientific Field Such As Genetics, Molecular Biology, Or Bioinformatics.
