
Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist

At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, we are looking for an experienced and compassionate Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be an expert in their field, with at least 5 years of experience as a Pediatric Clinical Nurse Specialist. They will possess a thorough understanding of the clinical care, research, and professional development of pediatric oncology nursing. They should be highly organized, detail-oriented, and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A strong commitment to patient care and customer service is essential. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, a Master of Science in Nursing, and a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of New York. The candidate must also be a Certified Pediatric Oncology Nurse and be certified in BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Responsibilities:
- Provide expert clinical care to pediatric cancer patients and their families.
- Participate in research related to pediatric oncology nursing.
- Monitor professional development of pediatric oncology nursing staff.
- Maintain detailed records of patient care and treatment.
- Ensure excellent customer service and high standards of patient care.
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care.
- Supervise nursing staff and provide guidance and mentorship.
- Act as a resource for health care professionals and families.
- Maintain current Registered Nurse license in the state of New York.
- Possess current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
