  1. Develop and implement educational programs and initiatives for nursing staff to promote professional growth and development.
  2. Collaborate with nursing leaders and other healthcare professionals to identify learning needs and design appropriate training programs.
  3. Conduct training sessions and workshops on various topics related to nursing practice, including evidence-based practice, patient safety, and quality improvement.
  4. Evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs through various methods such as surveys and assessments.
  5. Provide mentorship and support to new nurses to help them acclimate to their roles and responsibilities.
  6. Serve as a resource for nursing staff, providing guidance and support in areas such as clinical skills, professional development, and career advancement.
  7. Stay up-to-date on current healthcare trends and best practices to ensure that educational programs reflect the latest advancements in the field.
  8. Collaborate with other departments to coordinate and facilitate interdisciplinary education and training opportunities.
  9. Participate in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to nursing education and professional development.
  10. Maintain accurate records of nursing staff education and training activities.
  11. Serve as a role model for excellence in nursing practice and professionalism.
  12. Participate in nursing research and disseminate findings to promote evidence-based practice.
  13. Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the nursing department.
  14. Collaborate with external organizations and partners to expand educational opportunities for nursing staff.
  15. Act as an advocate for nursing staff and promote a positive work environment.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Nursing Or Related Field

  • Active And Unrestricted Nursing License In The State Of New York

  • Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Clinical Nursing Experience, Preferably In An Oncology Setting

  • Certification In Nursing Professional Development (E.g. Ancc, Npd-Bc)

  • Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With Experience In Developing And Implementing Educational Programs And Initiatives.
