We are currently seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team. As a CRNA at MSK, you will play a vital role in providing safe and effective anesthesia care to our patients undergoing various surgical procedures.   1. Provide safe and effective anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures at MSK Cancer Center.
  2. Administer anesthesia and monitor patients' vital signs before, during, and after surgery.
  3. Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare team members to develop and implement patient-specific anesthesia plans.
  4. Conduct preoperative evaluations and obtain informed consent from patients.
  5. Ensure that all necessary equipment and supplies are available and properly functioning for each surgical procedure.
  6. Educate patients and their families about anesthesia procedures, potential risks, and post-operative care.
  7. Continuously assess and monitor patients' response to anesthesia and adjust dosage as needed.
  8. Document patient information, anesthesia administration, and any complications or adverse reactions accurately and in a timely manner.
  9. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to maintain a safe and clean environment for patients and healthcare staff.
  10. Participate in ongoing professional development and stay up-to-date with advancements in anesthesia techniques and technology.
  11. Collaborate with other CRNAs and healthcare team members to ensure effective and efficient patient care.
  12. Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills to provide compassionate care to patients and their families.
  13. Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical and legal standards.
  14. Comply with all MSK Cancer Center policies and procedures.
  15. Act as a role model and mentor to junior CRNAs and other healthcare staff.

Job Qualifications
  • Current Crna Certification From The National Board Of Certification And Recertification For Nurse Anesthetists (Nbcrna).

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience As A Crna In A Hospital Or Surgical Setting.

  • Advanced Knowledge Of Anesthesia Techniques, Medications, And Equipment.

  • Strong Critical Thinking And Problem-Solving Skills To Effectively Manage Complex Anesthesia Cases.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Collaborate With Multidisciplinary Teams And Provide Compassionate Care To Patients And Their Families.
