Mammography Technologist

This individual will be responsible for providing high-quality mammography examinations and performing related clinical and administrative duties in accordance with established standards and practices.The ideal candidate would have a minimum of two years of experience as a Mammography Technologist in an acute care setting, plus certification from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) and a valid state license. 1. Perform mammography examinations according to established standards and practices.
2. Accurately interpret physician's orders and take appropriate action.
3. Ensure that patient's comfort and safety is maintained throughout the examination.
4. Monitor and maintain the quality control program in accordance with established standards.
5. Maintain accurate records of mammography examinations and patient information.
6. Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure HIPAA compliance.
7. Communicate effectively with patients, coworkers, and other healthcare professionals.
8. Participate in continuing education and training activities to stay current with advances in mammography techniques.
9. Maintain a clean and organized work space.
10. Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
