Laboratory Technologist

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is looking for an experienced and motivated Laboratory Technologist to join our team. As a Laboratory Technologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and analyses to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the areas of biochemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology. Additionally, you will have the opportunity to work with a team of dedicated professionals in an environment that emphasizes quality, safety, and patient care.The successful candidate must possess an Associate’s Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent and be certified in Clinical Laboratory Science by the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP). In addition, you should have at least one year of laboratory experience, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. Responsibilities:

1. Perform laboratory tests and analyses to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients in the areas of biochemistry, hematology, immunology, and microbiology.
2. Ensure accuracy and reliability of all laboratory results.
3. Maintain laboratory equipment in a safe and clean condition.
4. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and protocols.
5. Assist in the training of laboratory personnel.
6. Maintain accurate records of laboratory test results.
7. Monitor inventory of laboratory supplies and reorder when necessary.
8. Participate in quality assurance and improvement activities.
9. Adhere to laboratory policies and procedures.
10. Provide support to other departments as needed.
