  1. Conduct computational analysis of cancer-related data sets using bioinformatics tools and techniques.
  2. Collaborate with other scientists and clinicians to design and implement computational methods for analyzing and interpreting large-scale genomic and proteomic data.
  3. Utilize advanced statistical methods and machine learning algorithms to identify patterns and correlations in complex biological data sets.
  4. Communicate results and insights from computational analyses to interdisciplinary teams, including presenting at meetings and conferences.
  5. Work closely with laboratory scientists to integrate computational methods into experimental design and data interpretation.
  6. Keep up-to-date with current literature and advancements in the field of cancer biology and computational biology.
  7. Participate in the development of new computational tools and resources to enhance cancer research and treatment.
  8. Maintain and organize large databases of cancer-related data for easy access and analysis.
  9. Collaborate with external partners and research institutions to advance cancer research initiatives.
  10. Assist in the preparation and submission of grant proposals to secure funding for computational biology research.
  11. Train and mentor junior team members in computational methods and data analysis techniques.
  12. Adhere to ethical standards and maintain confidentiality of sensitive data.
  13. Contribute to the overall mission of Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and strive to make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree (Phd Or Equivalent) In Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Or A Related Field.

  • Strong Background In Biology And Understanding Of Cancer Biology.

  • Proficiency In Programming Languages Commonly Used In Bioinformatics, Such As R, Python, And Perl.

  • Experience With Analyzing Large-Scale Genomic, Transcriptomic, And/Or Proteomic Data Sets.

  • Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively In A Multidisciplinary Team Environment.
