Clinical Nurse Perioperative

We are looking for an experienced Clinical Nurse Perioperative to join the team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. In this role, you will be responsible for providing nursing care and support to patients in the perioperative unit. You will be expected to collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure that our patients receive the highest quality care.We are looking for a highly motivated individual who is passionate about providing compassionate and excellent care to our patients. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and organizational skills, and be able to provide leadership in the perioperative setting.The required qualifications for this role include a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, valid New York State Nursing License, and a minimum of two years of perioperative experience. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the oncology setting.

Responsibilites:

1. Provide nursing care and support to patients in the perioperative unit.

3. Provide leadership in the perioperative setting.
4. Monitor patient progress and respond to patient needs proactively.
5. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
6. Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.
7. Educate patients and families about perioperative procedures and post-operative care.
8. Demonstrate a commitment to patient safety and quality improvement initiatives.
9. Remain current in best practices and knowledge of healthcare procedures.
10. Follow all organizational policies and procedures.
