Clinical Nurse - Operating Room

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our Operating Room team. As a Clinical Nurse in this key role, you will be responsible for providing professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures and other treatments in the Operating Room.We are looking for an individual with a passion for patient-centered care and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. To be successful in this role, you must have at least two years of clinical nursing experience, preferably gained in an Operating Room setting. You will also need to possess a valid Registered Nurse license in the state of New York and CPR certification. Responsibilities:

1. Provide professional nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures and other treatments in the Operating Room.
2. Maintain a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
3. Ensure all necessary materials and equipment are available for each patient and procedure.
4. Monitor patient condition during procedures and report any changes to the medical team.
5. Administer medications and other treatments as prescribed by physicians.
6. Maintain detailed records of patient care activities.
7. Assist with the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to the Operating Room.
8. Participate in continuing education and other professional development activities.
9. Ensure compliance with OSHA and HIPAA regulations.
10. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
