Clinical Nurse - Head and Neck Surgery

Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team in the Head and Neck Surgery department. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing patient-centered, evidence-based care in accordance with established standards, protocols, and guidelines. Our ideal candidate will be a licensed RN in New York State with a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing; at least three years of experience in a clinical setting; and knowledge of head and neck surgery. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience providing care for oncology patients and a strong interest in ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide patient-centered, evidence-based care in accordance with established standards, protocols, and guidelines.
2. Utilize excellent communication skills to coordinate patient care with other members of the care team.
3. Ensure patient safety and quality care.
4. Monitor patient progress, document care and outcomes, and make adjustments to the plan of care as needed.
5. Participate in research projects and other clinical activities as assigned.
6. Participate in professional development activities such as continuing education and certifications.
7. Maintain current knowledge of the latest developments and treatments related to head and neck surgery and oncology.
8. Provide education and support to patients and families.
9. Adhere to hospital policies and procedures.
10. Uphold professional standards of practice and maintain ethical conduct.
