- Conduct comprehensive audiological evaluations for patients of all ages, including those with complex medical histories and varying degrees of hearing loss
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients with hearing impairments, including fitting and programming hearing aids and other assistive listening devices
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic care for patients, including oncologists, speech-language pathologists, and social workers
- Educate patients and families about hearing loss, its impact on communication and quality of life, and strategies for coping and managing symptoms
- Stay updated on current research and advancements in audiology and apply this knowledge to improve patient care
- Maintain accurate and thorough patient records and documentation in accordance with department policies and procedures
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures to ensure the well-being of patients and staff
- Act as a resource and provide guidance to other healthcare professionals on audiology-related matters
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of best practices for audiology services at MSK
- Continually assess and improve upon personal professional development through attending conferences, workshops, and other educational opportunities.
Doctoral Degree In Audiology (Au.d.) From An Accredited University
Valid State License To Practice Audiology
Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience In Clinical Audiology, Preferably In A Hospital Or Medical Center Setting
Strong Knowledge And Understanding Of Audiology Assessment And Treatment Methods For Patients With Cancer-Related Hearing Loss
Ability To Work Collaboratively With A Multidisciplinary Team, Including Oncologists, Speech-Language Pathologists, And Other Healthcare Professionals
