
Associate Director, Security Threat & Incident Management

Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement security threat and incident management protocols and procedures to protect sensitive information and ensure the safety of the organization.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats.
- Monitor and analyze security logs and events to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
- Lead a team of security professionals and provide guidance and direction in responding to security incidents.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure a coordinated response to security incidents.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices in order to continuously improve the organization's security posture.
- Conduct investigations into security incidents, gather evidence, and prepare reports for management.
- Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and other external partners to enhance the organization's security capabilities.
- Train and educate employees on security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and awareness.
- Develop and maintain a business continuity plan to ensure the organization can effectively respond to and recover from security incidents.
- Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of security threat and incident management processes.
- Prepare and present reports to senior management on the organization's security posture and any security incidents.
- Collaborate with the IT department to implement and maintain security tools and technologies.
- Coordinate and conduct regular security drills and exercises to test the organization's response to potential security threats.
- Serve as a subject matter expert on security threat and incident management for the organization and provide support and guidance to other departments as needed.
Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Security Threat And Incident Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Research Environment.
Strong Knowledge Of Security Frameworks, Such As Nist And Hipaa, As Well As Industry Best Practices And Emerging Threats.
Proven Experience Leading And Managing A Team, With Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.
Relevant Certifications, Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Giac, Are Highly Desirable.
