Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement security threat and incident management protocols and procedures to protect sensitive information and ensure the safety of the organization.
  2. Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability scans to identify potential security threats.
  3. Monitor and analyze security logs and events to detect and respond to security incidents in a timely manner.
  4. Lead a team of security professionals and provide guidance and direction in responding to security incidents.
  5. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to ensure a coordinated response to security incidents.
  6. Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, threats, and best practices in order to continuously improve the organization's security posture.
  7. Conduct investigations into security incidents, gather evidence, and prepare reports for management.
  8. Develop and maintain relationships with law enforcement agencies and other external partners to enhance the organization's security capabilities.
  9. Train and educate employees on security policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure compliance and awareness.
  10. Develop and maintain a business continuity plan to ensure the organization can effectively respond to and recover from security incidents.
  11. Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of security threat and incident management processes.
  12. Prepare and present reports to senior management on the organization's security posture and any security incidents.
  13. Collaborate with the IT department to implement and maintain security tools and technologies.
  14. Coordinate and conduct regular security drills and exercises to test the organization's response to potential security threats.
  15. Serve as a subject matter expert on security threat and incident management for the organization and provide support and guidance to other departments as needed.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Computer Science, Information Technology, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Security Threat And Incident Management, Preferably In A Healthcare Or Research Environment.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Security Frameworks, Such As Nist And Hipaa, As Well As Industry Best Practices And Emerging Threats.

  • Proven Experience Leading And Managing A Team, With Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.

  • Relevant Certifications, Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Giac, Are Highly Desirable.
