Anesthesia Technician

We are looking for an outstanding Anesthesia Technician to join our team at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. Our Anesthesia Technicians are an integral part of our anesthesia team, and we are looking for someone with a passion for patient care who is excited to join us in our mission of providing the highest quality care for our patients.The ideal candidate for this position will have a strong technical knowledge of anesthesia equipment and supplies, as well as experience in the field of anesthesia. Responsibilities:

1. Operate and maintain anesthesia equipment and supplies according to established protocols and safety standards.
2. Assist anesthesiologists in all phases of anesthesia care, including pre-operative preparation, intra-operative monitoring, and post-operative recovery.
3. Monitor patient vital signs during anesthesia care and document patient responses to anesthesia.
4. Prepare rooms for surgery and ensure the availability of all necessary supplies and equipment.
5. Participate in quality improvement activities and patient safety initiatives.
6. Maintain inventory of supplies and order additional supplies as needed.
7. Ensure that all equipment is in proper working order and report any discrepancies to the supervisor.
8. Educate patients and their families about the anesthesia process and answer any questions they may have.
9. Adhere to all applicable regulations and guidelines related to anesthesia care.
