  1. Conduct Abdominal X-Ray (AXR) procedures with precision and accuracy.
  2. Collaborate with surgeons and specialists to provide comprehensive care for patients.
  3. Demonstrate a high level of skill and proficiency in advanced practice techniques.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout their treatment.
  5. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, following all HIPAA regulations.
  6. Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements and best practices in oncology and AXR procedures.
  7. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, including infection control protocols.
  8. Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans for patients.
  9. Provide guidance and support to nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
  10. Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs are met and their concerns are addressed.
  11. Maintain a positive and professional demeanor at all times, representing the hospital and its mission.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree: Candidates For The Advanced Practice Provider Position At Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center Must Possess A Master's Degree In Nursing Or Physician Assistant Studies From An Accredited Program.

  • Certification/Licensure: All Candidates Must Hold A Current And Unrestricted License To Practice As A Nurse Practitioner Or Physician Assistant In The State Of New York. They Must Also Possess National Certification In Their Respective Field.

  • Clinical Experience: Ideal Candidates Should Have A Minimum Of 2 Years Of Experience Working In A Fast-Paced Surgical Setting, Preferably With A Focus On Short-Stay Surgery And/Or Oncology.

  • Oncology Experience: Familiarity With The Complexities And Nuances Of Caring For Patients With Cancer Is Highly Valued At Memorial Sloan Kettering. Candidates Should Have At Least 1 Year Of Experience Working In An Oncology Setting.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As Part Of A Multidisciplinary Team, The Advanced Practice Provider Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills To Effectively Collaborate With Physicians, Nurses, And Other Healthcare Providers. They Should Also Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Patients And Their Families, Providing Education And Support Throughout Their Surgical Experience.
