Technical Sourcing Specialist

Coordinates material deliveries in accordance with the project plan and advises when deliveries cannot support the plan. Participates with the quality engineers in completing supplier evaluations and quality audits. Utilizes the quality engineers to aid in resolution of supplier related quality issues. Provides information/feedback in assuring that Covidien specifications are manufacturable. Provides input on available sources, costs, lead time, and new technologies. Responsible for providing the accurate lead time and input regarding order modifiers for the purpose of MRP accuracy. Responsible for providing standard cost of newly released components and reviewing and updating standard cost of existing components (annually) through transition to plant procurement. Primary contact for all supplier communications with respect to total cost, delivery, quality, specifications, and contract obligations.
