Job Description

We are looking for a highly experienced Sr Technical Writer to join the team at Medtronic. The ideal candidate is a creative, detail-oriented professional who is passionate about writing and creating documentation that is clear and concise. The successful applicant will have a strong understanding of technical concepts and the ability to interpret complex technical software and hardware information into easily understandable language.The Sr Technical Writer will collaborate closely with software engineers and product developers to produce high-quality technical documents. The successful candidate must have experience in writing, editing, and producing user documentation, technical manuals, product specifications, and other technical documents.To be considered for this position, the successful applicant must have a bachelor’s degree in English, Communications, or a related field, as well as a minimum of five years of professional experience as a Technical Writer in a related industry. The applicant must also have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as an excellent eye for detail. We’re looking for a professional who is comfortable working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.If you have a passion for writing and a background in technical writing, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities:

  1. Create technical documents such as user documentation, technical manuals, product specifications, and other related material.
  2. Interpret complex technical software and hardware information into easily understandable language.
  3. Collaborate closely with software engineers and product developers to produce high-quality documents.
  4. Proofread and edit technical documents for accuracy, consistency, and clarity.
  5. Ensure documents conform to organizational style guidelines.
  6. Research and develop new documents and update existing documents as needed.
  7. Work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  8. Monitor industry trends and recommend changes to documents as needed.
