Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Sr. Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team at Medtronic. This role requires a highly organized, detail-oriented professional with a passion for problem-solving and a commitment to excellence. The successful candidate will have a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant discipline, such as Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Manufacturing Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of experience in a related field. You will be expected to not only have a technical aptitude, but also demonstrate a strong ability to collaborate with other departments, manage projects, and ensure that the highest standards are met. Responsibilities:

  1. Develop and implement efficient manufacturing processes to ensure product quality and cost targets are met.
  2. Analyze and troubleshoot existing processes to identify and implement process improvements.
  3. Design and develop tools, fixtures, and automation equipment to improve the efficiency of production processes.
  4. Develop and maintain a preventive maintenance program to ensure manufacturing equipment is operating optimally.
  5. Work closely with other departments, such as engineering and quality, to develop and implement design changes and process improvements.
  6. Implement and maintain lean manufacturing initiatives for the production lines.
  7. Monitor and manage production schedules to ensure timely completion of projects.
  8. Ensure compliance with all safety and regulatory requirements.
  9. Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to ensure that materials are procured on time, and in accordance with quality and cost standards.
  10. Train and mentor junior manufacturing engineers.
