Job Description

As a Sourcing Category Lead at Medtronic, you will play a critical role in our mission to improve the lives of millions of people around the world. In this role, you will lead the sourcing strategy and execution for the Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) category, ensuring that our organization has access to the necessary supplies and services to support our operations.   1. Develop and implement sourcing strategies for the MRO category in alignment with overall business objectives and company values.
  2. Lead cross-functional teams to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers that meet quality, cost, and delivery requirements.
  3. Negotiate contracts and pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure favorable terms and conditions for the organization.
  4. Monitor and track supplier performance, identifying and addressing any issues to ensure continuous improvement.
  5. Stay up-to-date on industry trends, market conditions, and new technologies to identify potential opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  6. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their MRO needs and provide guidance and support in selecting appropriate suppliers.
  7. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and efficient supply chain.
  8. Conduct regular market analysis and benchmarking to ensure competitiveness and identify potential risks or opportunities.
  9. Manage and control category spend, implementing cost-saving initiatives and strategies.
  10. Communicate regularly with senior leadership on sourcing updates, challenges, and opportunities.
  11. Stay updated on regulatory requirements and compliance standards related to MRO sourcing.
  12. Mentor and train junior team members on sourcing best practices and procedures.
  13. Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the sourcing process to optimize efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Collaborate with internal teams to develop and implement sustainable procurement strategies and initiatives.
  15. Represent Medtronic and maintain a positive image with suppliers, customers, and other external stakeholders.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Sourcing And Procurement, With A Focus On Mro (Maintenance, Repair, And Operations) Categories.

  • Strong Understanding Of Mro Category Management Principles And Best Practices.

  • Excellent Negotiation And Vendor Management Skills.

  • Working Knowledge Of Relevant Regulations And Compliance Requirements, Such As Fda Regulations And Iso Standards.
