  1. Develop and maintain high-quality software solutions for Medtronic's robotic surgical systems.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into software requirements.
  3. Design and implement innovative solutions to improve the performance and functionality of our robotic surgical systems.
  4. Conduct thorough testing and debugging of software to ensure it meets quality and safety standards.
  5. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in robotics and software engineering to incorporate into our products.
  6. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members.
  7. Write and maintain technical documentation for software development processes and procedures.
  8. Work closely with product managers and clinicians to understand user needs and incorporate feedback into software design.
  9. Troubleshoot and resolve any software issues that arise during the development process or in the field.
  10. Continuously improve software development processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
  11. Adhere to regulatory and compliance requirements for medical device software development.
  12. Collaborate with other teams to integrate software with hardware and ensure seamless functionality.
  13. Participate in design reviews and provide input and recommendations for improvements.
  14. Take ownership of assigned projects and ensure timely delivery of high-quality software solutions.
  15. Communicate progress and updates to relevant stakeholders, including management, team members, and external partners.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Background In Robotics And Software Engineering: A Senior Robotics Software Engineer At Medtronic Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Both Robotics And Software Engineering Principles. This Includes Knowledge Of Programming Languages, Control Systems, And Algorithms.

  • Experience In Surgical Operations: This Position Requires Experience Working In The Field Of Surgical Operations, Including Familiarity With Surgical Procedures And Medical Devices. Candidates Should Also Have A Strong Understanding Of The Regulatory Requirements For Medical Devices.

  • Advanced Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Senior Robotics Software Engineer At Medtronic Should Have At Least A Master's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field. A Phd Is Preferred But Not Required.

  • Leadership Skills: This Position Requires Strong Leadership Skills, As The Senior Robotics Software Engineer Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Engineers. Candidates Should Have Experience Managing Teams And Projects, As Well As Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills.

  • Familiarity With Medtronic Products: While Not Required, Experience Working With Medtronic Products Or In The Medical Device Industry Is A Plus. Candidates Should Have A Good Understanding Of Medtronic's Products, Technologies, And Mission, And Be Able To Align Their Work With The Company's Goals.
