  1. Lead statistical planning and analysis for clinical trials and studies related to the development and commercialization of medical devices.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement statistical methods and analyses to support product development.
  3. Provide statistical expertise and guidance to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  4. Develop and implement statistical analysis plans, including sample size calculations and data analysis methods.
  5. Conduct statistical analyses and interpret results, making recommendations for product development and improvement.
  6. Participate in the review and interpretation of clinical data and provide statistical insights to inform decision-making.
  7. Contribute to the development and maintenance of statistical standard operating procedures and best practices.
  8. Mentor and train junior statisticians and other team members on statistical methods and techniques.
  9. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in statistical methods and apply them to enhance the organization's capabilities.
  10. Represent the company at scientific conferences and collaborate with external partners and experts to advance statistical methodology.
  11. Adhere to ethical and regulatory standards for data privacy and confidentiality.
  12. Maintain accurate and organized documentation of statistical analyses and reports.
  13. Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate completion of project milestones.
  14. Proactively identify and communicate potential risks and issues related to statistical analyses and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  15. Foster a collaborative and inclusive work environment to promote teamwork and knowledge sharing.

Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Statistics Or Related Field: A Senior Principal Statistician At Medtronic Would Be Expected To Have A Minimum Of A Master's Degree In Statistics, Biostatistics, Or A Related Quantitative Field. A Phd In These Fields Would Be Preferred.

  • Extensive Experience In Statistical Analysis: Candidates For This Role Should Have At Least 10 Years Of Experience In Conducting Statistical Analyses In A Medical Device Or Pharmaceutical Industry Setting. This Should Include Experience With Both Clinical Trials And Observational Studies.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Regulatory Guidelines: Medtronic Is A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Senior Principal Statistician Will Be Responsible For Ensuring That All Statistical Analyses And Study Designs Are In Compliance With Fda And Other Regulatory Guidelines.

  • Leadership Skills: As A Senior Principal Statistician, This Individual Will Be Expected To Lead A Team Of Statisticians And Work Collaboratively With Cross-Functional Teams. Strong Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Mentor And Coach Junior Statisticians, Are Essential For This Role.

  • Excellent Communication Skills: The Senior Principal Statistician Will Be Responsible For Communicating Complex Statistical Concepts And Results To Non-Technical Stakeholders, Including Senior Leadership At Medtronic. Therefore, Strong Written And Verbal Communication Skills Are Critical For Success In This Role.
