Job Description

As a Principal Software Engineer at Medtronic, you will be responsible for leading software engineering teams in the development of complex medical device software solutions. This is a highly-visible role that requires strong technical expertise, excellent communication skills, and an ability to drive technical decisions and provide technical direction.To be successful in this role, candidates must have at least 8 years of software engineering experience, with at least 5 years of experience in a leadership role. Experience with medical device software development and software architecture is also preferred.We are looking for an experienced software engineer who is passionate about leading teams in the development of innovative and cutting-edge medical device software solutions. Responsibilities:

  1. Lead software engineering teams in the development of complex medical device software solutions.
  2. Drive technical decisions and provide technical direction.
  3. Implement software architecture and design solutions.
  4. Ensure the highest standards of quality and safety.
  5. Develop innovative and cutting-edge medical device software solutions.
  6. Maintain strong communication with stakeholders and team members.
  7. Monitor progress and provide guidance to ensure successful delivery of projects.
  8. Collaborate with other engineering teams to ensure cohesive development and integration of software solutions.
  9. Troubleshoot software issues and provide technical support.
  10. Train and mentor team members.
