  1. Conduct penetration testing on Medtronic products to identify potential security vulnerabilities and provide recommendations for mitigation.
  2. Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Medtronic's product portfolio and associated security risks.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to incorporate security best practices into product design and development processes.
  4. Stay current with industry trends and emerging threats to proactively assess and address potential security risks.
  5. Lead and support security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  6. Communicate findings and recommendations to stakeholders, including product development teams, to drive effective security solutions.
  7. Develop and maintain security testing procedures and methodologies to ensure consistent and thorough evaluations of Medtronic products.
  8. Manage and prioritize multiple penetration testing projects to meet deadlines and ensure efficient use of resources.
  9. Participate in the development and implementation of security training and awareness programs for employees.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert on product security, providing guidance and support to other team members and departments.
  11. Continuously evaluate and improve Medtronic's product security posture by identifying areas for improvement and implementing effective solutions.
  12. Maintain detailed documentation of all security testing activities, including findings, recommendations, and remediation plans.
  13. Adhere to ethical hacking practices and maintain the highest level of confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
  14. Foster a culture of security awareness and ownership throughout the organization.
  15. Represent Medtronic in industry conferences and events to promote the company's commitment to product security.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Experience In Penetration Testing: The Ideal Candidate For A Principal Product Security Penetration Testing Engineer Position At Medtronic Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Penetration Testing And Vulnerability Assessment, With A Proven Track Record Of Identifying And Exploiting Vulnerabilities In Complex Systems.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Security Standards And Regulations: The Candidate Should Possess A Deep Understanding Of Security Standards And Regulations, Such As Iso 27001, Nist, Hipaa, And Gdpr. They Should Also Have Experience Working With Medical Device Security Standards, Such As Iec 62304 And Iec 80001.

  • Proficiency In Ethical Hacking Tools And Techniques: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Proficient In Using Various Ethical Hacking Tools And Techniques, Such As Network And Web Application Scanners, Vulnerability Management Tools, And Exploits.

  • Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Principal Product Security Penetration Testing Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Required To Lead And Mentor A Team Of Security Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Leadership Skills Are Essential For This Role.

  • Industry-Specific Knowledge: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Medical Device Industry, Including The Regulatory Landscape, Product Development Lifecycle, And Best Practices For Securing Medical Devices. They Should Also Possess Knowledge Of Emerging Trends And Threats In The Medical Device Security Space.
