- Utilize expertise and technical knowledge to drive innovation and improve manufacturing processes.
- Ensure the highest quality standards are met in all aspects of manufacturing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new manufacturing strategies.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and production staff.
- Conduct research and stay up-to-date with industry advancements and best practices.
- Identify and troubleshoot manufacturing issues, implement solutions and preventative measures.
- Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and documentation for manufacturing processes.
- Work closely with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively to meet production goals and timelines.
- Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and standards.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional teams to develop and launch new products.

Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Principal Manufacturing Engineer At Medtronic Must Have At Least A Bachelor's Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Mechanical, Industrial, Or Biomedical Engineering.
Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In A Manufacturing Engineering Role: Medtronic Seeks Candidates With A Strong Background In Manufacturing Engineering, Including Experience With Process Development, Optimization, And Validation.
Knowledge Of Fda Regulations And Iso Standards: As A Medical Device Company, Medtronic Places High Importance On Compliance With Fda Regulations And Iso Standards. A Principal Manufacturing Engineer Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Requirements And Be Able To Implement Them In The Manufacturing Process.
Experience With Lean And Six Sigma Methodologies: Medtronic Values Efficiency And Continuous Improvement In Its Manufacturing Processes. A Principal Manufacturing Engineer Should Have Experience With Lean And Six Sigma Methodologies To Drive Process Optimization And Cost Reduction.
