Job Qualifications
  • Advanced Degree In Materials Science Or Engineering: A Primary Qualification For A Principal Materials Integration Engineer At Medtronic Is An Advanced Degree In A Relevant Field Such As Materials Science, Engineering, Or A Related Discipline. This Demonstrates A Strong Academic Background And Specialized Knowledge In The Materials Used In Medical Devices.

  • Extensive Experience In Materials Development And Integration: Candidates For This Role Should Have A Minimum Of 7-10 Years Of Experience In Developing And Integrating Materials For Medical Devices. This Includes Experience With Materials Selection, Testing, And Validation, As Well As Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations.

  • Strong Technical Background: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Materials Characterization And Analysis, As Well As Experience With Materials Engineering And Processing Techniques. This Includes Knowledge Of Materials Properties, Failure Analysis, And Design For Manufacturability.

  • Project Management Skills: As A Principal Materials Integration Engineer, This Role Will Involve Leading And Managing Cross-Functional Teams To Develop And Integrate Materials Into Medical Devices. Therefore, Candidates Must Have Strong Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Develop Project Plans, Manage Timelines, And Communicate Effectively With Team Members.

  • Regulatory Knowledge: Medtronic Is A Highly Regulated Industry, And As Such, Candidates For This Role Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Medical Device Regulations And Requirements. This Includes Experience With Fda Regulations, Iso Standards, And Other Relevant Regulatory Bodies.
