  1. Develop and implement materials biocompatibility strategies and protocols in accordance with industry standards and regulations.
  2. Conduct risk assessments and evaluate potential biocompatibility issues for new and existing medical devices.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely completion of biocompatibility testing and evaluations.
  4. Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes related to biocompatibility and proactively communicate any potential impacts or changes to the organization.
  5. Lead and manage a team of materials biocompatibility specialists to ensure the highest level of quality and safety for all products.
  6. Monitor and analyze biocompatibility data and reports to identify any potential issues or areas for improvement.
  7. Participate in product development meetings to provide input on materials selection and potential biocompatibility concerns.
  8. Work closely with suppliers to ensure the use of biocompatible materials in all components and raw materials.
  9. Collaborate with regulatory affairs to prepare and submit biocompatibility documentation for product registrations and approvals.
  10. Act as a subject matter expert on biocompatibility for internal and external stakeholders, including customers and regulatory agencies.
  11. Develop and maintain relationships with key opinion leaders in the field of materials biocompatibility.
  12. Continuously drive process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of biocompatibility testing and evaluations.
  13. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, including ISO and FDA requirements.
  14. Train and educate employees on biocompatibility principles and best practices.
  15. Uphold the company's values and commitment to improving the lives of patients through innovative medical technologies.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Biomedical Engineering, Materials Science, Or Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Medical Device Industry, With A Focus On Biocompatibility And Materials Selection.

  • Knowledge Of Relevant Regulatory Standards And Guidelines, Including Iso 10993 And Fda Guidance.

  • Strong Understanding Of Biocompatibility Testing Methods And Ability To Interpret And Apply Results.

  • Excellent Communication And Project Management Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And External Partners.
