- Lead and manage the development and execution of engineering projects within Medtronic, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and meet quality standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineers, designers, and researchers to develop innovative medical devices that improve patient care.
- Develop and maintain project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation, to ensure successful project delivery.
- Identify and mitigate potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle, utilizing problem-solving skills to find solutions.
- Communicate project status updates, including progress, challenges, and resolutions, to stakeholders and senior management.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment by providing clear direction and guidance to team members.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory and quality standards throughout the project, including FDA and ISO requirements.
- Continuously evaluate and optimize project processes and procedures to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
- Coordinate with external partners and vendors to ensure timely delivery of project components.
- Mentor and develop junior team members, providing guidance and support to help them grow in their roles.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or Related Field: A Solid Foundation In Engineering Principles Is Necessary For This Role, As The Engineering Program Manager Will Be Responsible For Overseeing Complex Engineering Projects.
Project Management Experience: The Ideal Candidate Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience Managing Engineering Projects In A Fast-Paced Environment. This Includes Experience With Project Planning, Budget Management, And Team Leadership.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Key Point Of Contact Between Different Departments And Stakeholders, The Engineering Program Manager Must Possess Excellent Communication Skills And The Ability To Build And Maintain Relationships With Team Members, Clients, And Vendors.
Knowledge Of Medical Device Regulations: Medtronic Is A Highly Regulated Industry, And The Engineering Program Manager Must Have A Strong Understanding Of Relevant Regulations, Such As Fda Regulations And Iso Standards, To Ensure Compliance Throughout The Project Lifecycle.
Leadership And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Engineering Program Manager Will Be Responsible For Leading A Team Of Engineers And Navigating Complex Project Challenges.
