- Collaborate with engineers and other team members to design, develop, and improve medical devices.
- Utilize technical knowledge and skills to contribute to the design and development process.
- Conduct research and gather information to inform design decisions.
- Create and maintain detailed design documentation and specifications.
- Use computer-aided design (CAD) software to produce accurate and high-quality designs.
- Perform testing and analysis to ensure devices meet performance and safety standards.
- Identify and troubleshoot design issues, and propose solutions to improve product functionality and usability.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in medical technology to continuously improve design processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including manufacturing and quality assurance, to ensure successful product launches.
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment and comply with company policies and procedures.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality, precise designs.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with team members, management, and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting open communication and a drive for excellence.
Bachelor's Degree In Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In Medical Device Design, Preferably At A Regulated Company Such As Medtronic.
Proficiency In Cad Software, Specifically Solidworks And/Or Proe.
Knowledge Of Manufacturing Processes And Materials Used In Medical Device Production.
Understanding Of Fda Regulations And Iso Standards Related To Medical Device Design And Development.
