  1. Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshooting of control systems to ensure optimal performance and functionality.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement control systems for new medical devices.
  3. Monitor and analyze data from control systems to identify potential issues and recommend improvements.
  4. Develop and maintain documentation for control systems, including operating procedures and technical specifications.
  5. Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory standards and guidelines.
  6. Assist in the validation and verification of control systems for new product development.
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry advancements and trends in control systems technology.
  8. Provide technical support and guidance to production teams to ensure timely and accurate resolution of issues.
  9. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of control systems.
  10. Use problem-solving skills to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to control systems.
  11. Conduct training sessions for team members on the operation and maintenance of control systems.
  12. Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on control systems and address any concerns or questions.
  13. Adhere to all safety protocols and company policies while performing control system tasks.
  14. Ensure the timely completion of all assigned tasks and projects within budget and according to established timelines.
  15. Participate in the development and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for control systems.

Job Qualifications

  • Electrical Or Mechanical Engineering Degree: A Degree In Electrical Or Mechanical Engineering Is Typically Required For A Controls Technician Position At Medtronic. This Ensures That The Candidate Has A Strong Understanding Of The Technical Aspects Of Control Systems And Can Effectively Troubleshoot And Maintain Them.

  • Experience With Programmable Logic Controllers (Plcs): Medtronic Utilizes Plcs In Many Of Their Medical Devices And Equipment. Therefore, Candidates For A Controls Technician Role Should Have Experience Working With And Programming Plcs To Ensure They Are Familiar With The Technology.

  • Knowledge Of Fda Regulations: As A Medical Technology Company, Medtronic Adheres To Strict Fda Regulations For The Design And Production Of Their Devices. A Controls Technician Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of These Regulations To Ensure Compliance And Safety.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Controls Technician Must Be Able To Quickly Identify And Troubleshoot Issues With Control Systems In Order To Minimize Downtime And Ensure The Reliability Of Medtronic's Equipment. Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills Are Crucial For This Role.

  • Communication And Teamwork: In Addition To Technical Skills, A Controls Technician Should Have Strong Communication And Teamwork Abilities.
