
Case Specialist, Spine
Acquires and maintains current knowledge of perioperative surgical technology practice and hospital policies and procedures. Demonstrates competence in assisting with surgical procedures and acts as a cohesive member of the operating room work team and demonstrates appropriate interactions with all hospital service providers. Perform the assembly and preparation of sets/kits for surgery including Quality Control audits of sets/kits. Perform maintenance of instrumentation and equipment and assembles and checks equipment and supplies pre-operatively and communicates needs to circulator prior to bringing patient in room. Assists in maintenance and care of surgical instrumentation and troubleshoots equipment according to standard procedure. Pulls hospital consignment sets from shelf. Moves loaner sets from hospital receiving dock to Central Sterile. Checks in sets and extras at Central Sterile. Verify properly cleaned/sterile surgical sets/kits.
Knowledge of Spinal and/or Orthopedic surgical instrumentation
2 years of clinical or medical sales experience.
