  1. Perform routine maintenance and repairs on building automation systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
  2. Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with building automation systems and provide effective solutions.
  3. Monitor and analyze system performance data to identify potential problems and recommend improvements.
  4. Collaborate with other technicians and engineers to develop and implement preventive maintenance plans for building automation systems.
  5. Respond to emergency calls and provide timely and efficient solutions to minimize downtime.
  6. Keep accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities, including equipment logs and work orders.
  7. Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in building automation technology and recommend upgrades or modifications as needed.
  8. Conduct regular inspections of building automation systems and report any safety hazards or non-compliance issues.
  9. Train and mentor new technicians on building automation systems and procedures.
  10. Maintain a clean and organized work area and ensure all tools and equipment are properly maintained.
  11. Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines when working on building automation systems.
  12. Collaborate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and quality repairs and maintenance.
  13. Provide excellent customer service to internal stakeholders by addressing and resolving any issues or concerns related to building automation systems.
  14. Participate in team meetings and provide input and suggestions for improving efficiency and effectiveness of building automation systems.
  15. Uphold the values and standards of Medtronic and represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications
  • Technical Knowledge And Experience: A Building Automation Technician At Medtronic Must Have A Strong Background In Technical Skills, Including Knowledge Of Hvac Systems, Electrical Systems, And Building Automation Software. They Should Also Have Experience In Troubleshooting And Resolving Technical Issues.

  • Certification And Training: A Qualified Candidate For This Position Should Have Relevant Certifications, Such As Certified Energy Manager (Cem) Or Certified Building Automation Professional (Cbap), And Training In Building Automation Systems.

  • Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Skills: Building Automation Systems Require A High Level Of Precision And Attention To Detail. A Successful Candidate Should Possess Excellent Problem-Solving Skills And The Ability To Think Critically To Identify And Resolve Issues.

  • Communication And Teamwork: As A Part Of The Facility Maintenance Team, A Building Automation Technician Must Have Strong Communication Skills And The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Other Team Members. They Should Also Be Able To Effectively Communicate Technical Information To Non-Technical Stakeholders.

  • Time Management And Adaptability: Medtronic Is A Fast-Paced Environment, And A Building Automation Technician Must Be Able To Manage Their Time Effectively To Complete Tasks Within Deadlines. They Should Also Be Adaptable And Able To Handle Unexpected Changes Or Emergencies In A Professional Manner.
