- Conduct vascular ultrasound examinations on patients using state-of-the-art equipment and techniques.
- Perform accurate and timely documentation of all examinations, including patient history and test results.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive and individualized patient care.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety during all procedures, and address any concerns or questions they may have.
- Maintain and calibrate equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Stay up-to-date on current techniques and advancements in vascular technology.
- Follow all infection control and safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Educate patients on the procedure and answer any questions they may have.
- Assist with scheduling and organizing patient appointments and procedures.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients, ensuring a positive and professional work environment.
- Adhere to all HIPAA regulations and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Act as a patient advocate, ensuring their needs and concerns are addressed in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Collaborate with other team members to develop and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Adhere to all MedStar Health policies and procedures, as well as industry standards and regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Vascular Technology Or A Related Field.
Certification From The American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) In Vascular Technology.
Minimum Of 2 Years Experience Performing Vascular Ultrasounds In A Clinical Setting.
Knowledge Of Current Vascular Technology Techniques And Equipment.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills For Interacting With Patients And Healthcare Team Members.
