Surgical Liaison

MedStar Health is looking for a passionate, service-oriented Surgical Liaison to join our team. In this role, the Surgical Liaison will be a key member of our surgical services team, providing support to our surgeons and patients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the medical field and an attitude of empathy and understanding when interacting with patients.Required Qualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in health-related field or equivalent experience• At least 3 years of experience in a medical setting• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment• Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures• Problem-solving skills and the ability to effectively manage stressful situations• Ability to multitask and work effectively with a variety of teams and individuals• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Responsibilities of a Surgical Liaison:

• Provide support to surgeons and patients by responding to inquiries and resolving issues in a timely manner.

• Utilize excellent communication and interpersonal skills to maintain professional relationships with physicians, staff, and patients.

• Remain up-to-date on medical terminology and procedures to better serve patients.

• Manage stressful situations and problems in an efficient and effective manner.

• Demonstrate a high level of multitasking and organization while working with multiple teams and individuals.

• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all tasks related to medical services.

• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

• Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay informed about changes in the medical field.
