
Stationary Engineer

- Operate and maintain all mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems within the facility to ensure they are functioning properly and efficiently.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment to identify and address any potential issues before they become major problems.
- Troubleshoot and repair any equipment malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner to minimize downtime and ensure the safety of patients and staff.
- Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels of equipment and supplies to ensure smooth operation of the facility.
- Collaborate with other members of the facility maintenance team to ensure efficient and effective use of resources.
- Keep detailed records of all maintenance and repairs performed, including equipment logs and work orders.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations related to healthcare facility operations and equipment maintenance.
- Assist in the development and implementation of new equipment and technology to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of facility operations.
- Communicate effectively with other departments and staff to coordinate maintenance activities and minimize disruption to patient care.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the mission and values of MedStar Health and actively participate in activities and initiatives that support our goal of improving the health of our community.
Minimum Of A High School Diploma Or Equivalent Education
Certification As A Stationary Engineer Or Equivalent Trade License
At Least 3 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In A Healthcare Setting
Proven Knowledge Of Building Mechanical Systems, Including Hvac, Plumbing, And Electrical Systems
Ability To Troubleshoot And Repair Equipment, Read Technical Manuals, And Operate Computerized Maintenance Management Systems.
