
RN Ventricular Assist Device Nurse Coordinator
MedStar Health is looking for an experienced and compassionate RN Ventricular Assist Device (VAD) Nurse Coordinator to join our team and provide quality care for our patients. The ideal candidate should be knowledgeable in VAD technology, have a strong clinical background, and be passionate about providing excellent patient care.As the RN VAD Nurse Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care, managing patient care activities, and performing duties related to the coordination of VAD services. You will also be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care, maintaining VAD guidelines, and providing patient and family education.The successful candidate must have a current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland and a minimum of three (3) years of acute care nursing experience. An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing is also preferred. In addition, the ideal candidate should have a strong customer service focus, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment. Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care, including but not limited to monitoring, assessing, and administering medications, treatments and therapies.
- Manage patient care activities, including coordinating with physicians, other healthcare providers, and internal teams.
- Ensure the consistent delivery of high-quality patient care by adhering to VAD guidelines and providing patient and family education.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
- Participate in quality initiatives, department meetings, and other related activities.
- Demonstrate a strong customer service focus, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Comply with regulatory and organizational policies and procedures related to patient care.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing
