Job Description

  1. Provide respiratory therapy services to patients with respiratory illnesses, including but not limited to administering oxygen therapy, performing chest physiotherapy, and administering medications as prescribed.
  2. Conduct patient assessments and develop individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and medical history.
  3. Monitor and evaluate patient progress and adjust treatment plans accordingly.
  4. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans for patients.
  5. Educate patients and their families on respiratory conditions, treatment options, and self-care techniques.
  6. Ensure that all respiratory equipment is properly maintained and functioning.
  7. Adhere to all infection control and safety protocols.
  8. Document all patient interactions, treatments, and progress in accordance with departmental and regulatory standards.
  9. Stay current with advancements in respiratory therapy and participate in continuing education opportunities.
  10. Maintain a professional and compassionate demeanor when interacting with patients, families, and colleagues.
  11. Comply with all organizational policies and procedures and maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
  12. Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
  13. Remain flexible and adaptable to changing work demands and priorities.
  14. Demonstrate a commitment to providing exceptional patient care and ensuring patient satisfaction.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Respiratory Therapy Or Related Field From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current And Valid State License As A Respiratory Therapist.

  • Minimum Of 2 Years Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Hospital Or Healthcare Facility.

  • Certification By The National Board For Respiratory Care (Nbrc) As A Registered Respiratory Therapist (Rrt).

  • Strong Communication And Critical Thinking Skills, With The Ability To Work Well In A Fast-Paced, Team-Oriented Environment.
