
Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology
MedStar Health is looking for an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Oncology team. The ideal candidate will be a dedicated team player with strong communication and organizational skills who is committed to delivering excellent patient care.The RN Oncology will be responsible for providing comprehensive care to patients with cancer and other blood-related diseases. The successful candidate must have a valid RN license, a degree from an accredited nursing program, and at least two years of oncology experience. Additionally, the successful candidate must be passionate about providing high-quality patient care, have the ability to develop meaningful relationships with patients and their families, and be knowledgeable of current oncology care.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies to oncology patients, and monitor patient progress and response to treatments.
- Educate patients and their families about the diagnosis and treatment plans.
- Develop and maintain meaningful relationships with patients and their families.
- Monitor vital signs and symptoms, and document patient progress in medical records.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures, and all applicable laws and regulations.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate the best care for patients.
- Communicate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to discuss treatment plans and patient care.
- Provide compassionate care to oncology patients and their families.
- Educate patients and families about cancer and other blood-related diseases.
- Assist in the development and implementation of departmental policies and procedures.
Bachelor's Degree In Nursing
Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment
Ability To Work With A Multidisciplinary Team
Current Maryland Rn Licensure
At Least Years Of Experience In Oncology Nursing
Knowledge Of Oncology Treatments And Medications
