1. Provide exceptional care to patients and their families in the Mother/Baby unit.
2. Assess and monitor the health status of new mothers and their babies.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
4. Educate patients and their families on postpartum care and newborn care.
5. Collaborate with other healthcare team members to create and implement individualized care plans.
6. Ensure a safe and comfortable environment for patients and their families.
7. Maintain accurate and thorough patient records.
8. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
9. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on best practices in maternal and newborn care.
10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures, as well as state and federal regulations.
11. Assist in the orientation and training of new nurses and healthcare staff.
12. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and help maintain a high standard of care.
13. Maintain confidentiality and uphold ethical standards in all interactions.
14. Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and educational programs.
15. Provide emotional support to patients and their families during this special time.
