Registered Nurse Main PACU

MedStar Health is looking for an experienced and passionate Registered Nurse Main PACU to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing care to post-anesthesia patients in the Main PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit). You will be responsible for assessing and evaluating patient care needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans, providing patient and family education, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure quality patient care.The ideal candidate for this role should possess a valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Maryland, as well as at least one year of experience in a post-anesthesia care unit. You should also have a compassionate and empathetic attitude when working with patients and their families. Responsibilities: • Assess patient care needs and develop and implement nursing care plans. • Provide direct patient care in the post-anesthesia care unit. • Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols. • Monitor patient vital signs and document observations. • Educate patients and families on post-anesthesia care and recovery. • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient care. • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare standards and best practices. • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. • Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
